Bruce Wong Capacity Development Advisor

Mr. WONG Siu-fung (Bruce) is a safety and emergency management consultant in Hong Kong SAR and mainland China.

With a passion for community service, he joined the Civil Aid Service (CAS) Hong Kong as a volunteer member in 2001 and was promoted to Platoon Commander in 2012 and Company Staff Officer in 2018.

Bruce has a wide range of operational and management experience, actively joining the Government response to communicable disease outbreaks in 2003 and 2009 respectively. As Platoon Commander, he dealt with several emergency standby and response to typhoons between 2014-2018.

Bruce has an interest in Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), attending the International Urban Search and Rescue Training organized by the Singapore Civil Defence Academy in 2015. In the same year, he was appointed as the Country Representative of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). and now actively participates international humanitarian assistance exercises and meetings of the United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).
